I'll overwhelm 'serious fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers met for the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually happening.
